Our Story
In 2017, our founder, Shannon got into the Cannabis industry working at a cannabis compliance software company. Being new to the industry it was hard for her to find the right connections until she discovered golf and realized it was more than just a sport. Golf became a powerful networking tool, helping her connect with people in ways she hadn’t imagined. Inspired by the connections she made on the course, Shannon envisioned something bigger; an opportunity to bring together the community through events.

Today, that vision has evolved into a two-part production company.
First, there’s the Cannabis Golf League (CGL) where business meets the fairway. We've hosted two successful golf tournaments alongside Colorado Leads and multiple golf league days, connecting cannabis industry professionals and enthusiasts alike. We’re honored to continue our collaboration with Colorado Leads on their 4th annual golf tournament on 9/19/25, a key organization advancing progress in the cannabis industry. Together, we’re dedicated to creating dynamic opportunities for cannabis professionals to connect, network, and thrive.

But we’re not just about golf. CGL Presents is the second arm of our brand, dedicated to organizing non-golf events, including charity fundraisers, concerts, networking events and barn parties to name a few. Our mission is to build meaningful connections, create unforgettable moments, and support our community through a variety of events.
Meet Our Founder
Shannon Kaygi
Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a Colorado native, born and raised in Morrison just 15 minutes from Red Rocks. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up with music at the center of my life. Some of my earliest memories are of concerts, hanging out on or under the steps of Red Rocks. That place was a big part of my life growing up. My dad immigrated from Turkey when he was 18 and met my mom at FSU, so I’ve always had a deep love for travel and experiencing different cultures. He started his own business when I was a kid, so entrepreneurship is in my blood.

As a small business owner with a CBD skincare brand called Eossi Beauty, I know how important it is to get in front of the right people. That’s why I started The Cannabis Golf League and CGL Presents because the industry runs on relationships. From golf tournaments and networking mixers to live concerts and women-centered events, our goal is always the same: to create space for connection, collaboration, and community.

My husband Anson and I also run Vermillion Hill, a private event venue just north of Denver on 142 acres of wide-open space with killer views of the Rockies. It’s more than just a pretty place, it’s a flexible space for all kinds of gatherings: weddings, brand launches, corporate retreats, concerts, charity events, and everything in between.
The goal is to bring people together and create something meaningful.
