Our Story
At CGL, we host and create events that bring people together. What began on the greens has grown into a production company with two branches: Cannabis Golf League and CGL Presents.

The idea sparked when our founder, Shannon, entered the cannabis industry in 2017 and quickly discovered that golf was more than just a sport it was a powerful networking tool. Inspired by the connections she made, she launched the Cannabis Golf League to connect professionals and enthusiasts through tournaments and league days. Since then, we’ve proudly partnered with organizations like Colorado Leads to host major industry events, including their annual golf tournament.​
But we’re not just about golf. With CGL Presents, we’ve expanded to concerts, networking mixers, charity fundraisers, corporate events, and community celebrations. No matter the format, our mission stays the same: to create meaningful connections, unforgettable experiences, and opportunities for people to come together.
Meet Our Founder
Shannon Kaygi
Hi, I’m Shannon!
I’m a Colorado native, born and raised in Morrison just minutes from Red Rocks. Some of my best memories growing up were concerts, parties, and any chance I had to be around people. I’ve always loved creating and being part of gatherings. With my dad’s entrepreneurial spirit and my own passion for travel, culture, and connection, it was only natural that events became my path.

What started as the Cannabis Golf League has grown into SYK Events and CGL Presents. Today, I host all kinds of experiences from golf tournaments and networking mixers to concerts, corporate functions, and private celebrations. Along the way, I’ve added event planning services and even a photo booth to help make every gathering unforgettable.

My husband Anson and I also run Vermillion Hill, our 142-acre event venue just north of Denver. It’s a place where weddings, retreats, concerts, and community events all come to life against the backdrop of the Rockies.
